If you listen close enough,

you can feel the energy of the Universe in the first two notes of every song.

And in the pause that links them as one.

It is in those moments, when my attention has shifted, that my heart swells with joy.

And I finally allow my heart to sing those notes that my voice can not reach.

It is in my humanness that I find the worst part of myself, but it is through forgiveness that I am able to rise up and become one with the Divine.

These words are so powerful because in them is the realization that we are the vessel in which the energy of the Divine is fully expressed. It is only through this expression of love, can we experience all that we were meant to be. This is the shortest and surest way to becoming one with the Divine. 

There is relief in becoming aware that the only reason you are here is to creatively express love. This results in two options. The first option is the choice involving the full expression of love. The second option is the choice involving the blockage of the full expression of love.

My prayer is that I choose love more than I do not, and that I continue to have the courage to look on the inside to see how I am choosing to block the expression of love. I have found that this has taken courage and determination, and I have not always gotten it “right”, but I can say that I have made progress!

As I stretch towards the center of you,

in silence I find the space that exists between the mind and the heart,

and I am reminded that there is nothing to fear.

Nothing can separate me from this place of comfort.

But in order to reach it,

I must pass through a moment that lies just between letting go

and the moment I grab hold of you.

It is my faith that bridges this divide.

When I reach you it becomes clear.

The only sin I have ever committed, was to believe those thoughts that have caused me deep suffering. It was because of that belief that I was left disconnected to you, and in turn caused you to suffer. As I walk past the guilt caused by my own ignorance, I am greeted by unconditional love. Freedom becomes the gift when we own who we are in this world. Our gift to ourselves and to others, is our commitment to heal those areas where we cause their suffering and our own.
