An Inspirational Poem By Abby Lidster

Monday, 19. July 2010 19:05

We often think that we will find inspiration looking to those individuals that have walked further than us, on this path called life. What I have found is, that many times life’s wisdom comes from those who have spent less time being conditioned by society. Many times it is through the innocence of the youth in our lives, that the real meaning of life is so poignantly expressed. This poem is one of those examples of when someone so young has so much wisdom to share. My niece (who is fourteen years old) shared a poem with me that she has written, and I am proud to share it with you.

Namaste

Live every moment
 like it’s your last.
 Hurry or this time
 will pass.
 The life you have now
 could change in a second.
 Unscheduled, unplanned
 but never regretted.
 Change can be good
 or change can be bad.
 Either way you might miss
 what you once had.
Live your life the way you want to live.
 Give to others.
 Share.
And just don’t forget to live.
For if you love to rush through life
 not knowing what’s going on.
 Stop, take a breath.
Before life it’s self is gone.
 If your always busy
 and never have the time.
 Stop and take a moment.
 And just remember why.

I love you Abby. Love Aunty

Enternity`s Joy

God wants us to lose

All our littleness

So that He can bless us

With His Eternity’s Joy

And His Infinity’s Pride

An Inspirational Poem – Author Unknown

Prayer To Your Feminine Spirit

I  summon your soul to sing its great song,
For, to do otherwise would surely be wrong.

Come live in the beauty of who you are
From here you look like a shining star.

You have one life to live this time round
Please, don’t live it underground.

The world cries and creates a demand for your stand.

We’re on the verge of balance but the world needs your hands.

So summon your spirit and sing its great song,
For to do otherwise would surely be wrong.

The Beauty of a Women

The beauty of a woman
isn’t in the clothes she wears,
The figure that she carries,
or the way she combs her hair.

The beauty of a woman
must be seen from in her eyes;
Because that’s the doorway to her heart,
the place where love resides.

The beauty of a woman
isn’t in a facial mole;
But true beauty in a woman,
is reflected by her soul.

It’s the caring that she cares to give,
the passion that she shows;
And the beauty of a woman
with passing years only grows.

Meditate
Live purely. Be quiet.
Do your work with mastery.
Like the moon, come out
from behind the clouds!
Shine

An Inspirational Poem by Robert W. Service

Breath Is Enough

I draw sweet air
Deeply and long,
As pure as prayer,
As sweet as song.
Where lilies glow
And roses wreath,
Heart-joy I know
Is just to breathe.

Aye, so I think
By shore or sea,
As deep I drink
Of purity.
This brave machine,
Bare to the buff,
I keep ice-clean,
Breath is enough.

From mountain stream
To covert cool
The world, I deem,
Is wonderful;
The great, the small,
The smooth, the rough,
I love it all,–
Breath is enough.

Robert W. Service

This poem almost brought tears to my eyes because I think that it is so beautiful. I hope that you feel the same way also.

Namaste (I see the spirit in you which is also in me.)

An Inspirational Poem by James Allen

Mind is the master power that molds and makes,
And we are Mind, and evermore we take
The tool of thought, and shaping what we will,
Bring forth a thousand joys, a thousand ills,
We think in secret, and it comes to pass -
Our world is but our looking glass.

An Inspirational Poem by Sarojini Naidu

Song Of A Dream

Once in the dream of a night I stood
Lone in the light of a magical wood,
Soul-deep in visions that poppy-like sprang;
And spirits of Truth were the birds that sang,
And spirits of Love were the stars that glowed,
And spirits of Peace were the streams that flowed
In that magical wood in the land of sleep.

Lone in the light of that magical grove,
I felt the stars of the spirits of Love
Gather and gleam round my delicate youth,
And I heard the song of the spirits of Truth;
To quench my longing I bent me low
By the streams of the spirits of Peace that flow
In that magical wood in the land of sleep.

An Inspirational Poem in Honor of Mother’s Day

A MOTHER’S LOVE GOES DEEP – Author Unknown

“You don’t love me!”
How many times have your kids laid that one on you?
And how many times have you, as a parent, resisted the urge to tell them how much?

Someday, when my children are old enough to understand the logic that motivates a mother, I’ll tell them.

I loved you enough to insist you buy a bike with your own money that we could afford and you couldn’t.

I loved you enough to be silent and let you discover your handpicked friend was a creep;

I loved you enough to make you return a Milky Way with a bite out of it to a drugstore and say, “I stole this.”

I loved you enough to stand over you for two hours while you cleaned your bedroom, a job that would have taken me fifteen minutes.

I loved you enough to say, “Yes, you may go to Disney World on Mother’s Day.”

I loved you enough to let you see anger, disappointment, disgust and tears in my eyes.

I loved you enough not to make excuses for your lack of respect or you bad manners.

I loved you enough to admit that I was wrong and ask your forgiveness.

I loved you enough to ignore “what every other mother” did or said.

I loved you enough to let you stumble, fall, hurt and fail.

I loved you enough to let you assume the responsibility for your own actions, at 6, 10, and 16.

I loved you enough to figure you would lie about the party being chaperoned but forgave you for it after discovering I was right.

I loved you enough to shove you off my lap, let go of your hand, be mute to your pleas and insensitive to your demands…so that you had to stand alone.

I loved you enough to accept you for what you are,
not what I wanted you to be.

But most of all, I loved you enough to say no
when you hated me for it.

THAT WAS THE HARDEST PART OF ALL.

Phenomenal Women

Pretty women wonder where my secret lies.
I’m not cute or built to suit a fashion model’s size
But when I start to tell them,
They think I’m telling lies.
I say,
It’s in the reach of my arms
The span of my hips,
The stride of my step,
The curl of my lips.
I’m a woman
Phenomenally.
Phenomenal woman,
That’s me.

I walk into a room
Just as cool as you please,
And to a man,
The fellows stand or
Fall down on their knees.
Then they swarm around me,
A hive of honey bees.
I say,
It’s the fire in my eyes,
And the flash of my teeth,
The swing in my waist,
And the joy in my feet.
I’m a woman
Phenomenally.
Phenomenal woman,
That’s me.
Men themselves have wondered
What they see in me.
They try so much
But they can’t touch
My inner mystery.
When I try to show them,
They say they still can’t see.
I say,
It’s in the arch of my back,
The sun of my smile,
The ride of my breasts,
The grace of my style.
I’m a woman
Phenomenally.
Phenomenal woman,
That’s me.
Now you understand
Just why my head’s not bowed.
I don’t shout or jump about
Or have to talk real loud.
When you see me passing
It ought to make you proud.
I say,
It’s in the click of my heels,
The bend of my hair,
The palm of my hand,
The need for my care,
‘Cause I’m a woman
Phenomenally.
Phenomenal woman,
That’s me.
